PROJECT SHOWCASE

2022 Grant Thornton Case Competition

Indiana University Kelley ACE Student | The Computer in Business Honors Course

PROJECT OVERVIEW

As part of a consulting-style team challenge, we were tasked with helping Grant Thornton improve their new employee onboarding and training experience to boost retention, engagement, and DEI exposure. Our team designed Jumpstart Families, a structured onboarding enhancement that grouped new hires into cross-service line “families” and paired them with mentors from the Learning & Development team. The program featured weekly bonding activities and culminated in a “Grant Finale” celebration including a Kickball Tournament and Directors Banquet. We presented the strategy to Grant Thornton stakeholders with clear cost-benefit analysis and a three-week implementation timeline—positioning Jumpstart Families as a scalable solution to strengthen culture and reduce turnover.
